The Election of Commune/Sangkat Councils for the 6th Mandate will be held on Sunday 6th June 2027 at 1,652 communes/Sangkat across nationwide. To be eligible to vote, Cambodian citizens shall have their names in the official voter lists 2026 and the process of the voter lists revision and voter registration 2026 at communes/Sangkat shall be conducted from 7th October to 30th November 2026.
In accordance with Sub-Decree No. 107 dated 27th May 2026, number of commune/Sangkat councilors for each Commune/Sangkat Council in the 6th Mandate at provinces/capital is composed of 5, 7, 9, or 11 persons, based on actual geographical and demographic factors, and the total number of commune/Sangkat councilors nationwide for the 6th mandate is accounted for 11,622, the same as the 5th mandate.
Therefore, Cambodian citizens who are eligible to vote and have not previously registered to vote, who are at least 18 years of age on the polling day (born before or on 7th June 2009), or who have relocated their residence or lodging into new commune/Sangkat; as well as, whose name appears in the official voter lists 2025 and wishing to adjust their personal data (change of polling station in the commune/Sangkat, name, gender, date of birth, or change of voter registration documents), or citizens who were registered since 2016 or 2017 and have not had their biometric data updated (photo and fingerprint), are invited to register, correct, or update their data with the voter registration team at the commune/Sangkat office or in some villages in the commune/Sangkat where they live, according to the dates as mentioned above.
