On 02 May 2017, at 09:00 am, the National Election Committee (NEC) conducted a dissemination meeting with private radio and television stations on “The Principles for Radio and Television Stations on Selling or Renting Broadcasting Hour to Political Parties for Disseminating Political Platforms and Programs during the Election Campaign” for the 4th Mandate of Commune/Sangkat Council Election 2017, under the presidency of H.E Mr. Tep Nytha, NEC General Secretary. 

A total of 23 stakeholders attended this meeting including the representatives from Ministry of Information, 03 radio and television stations, political parties, and journalists.

H.E Mr. Tep Nytha, NEC General Secretary, stated that any radio station that rented hour to political parties for everyday broadcasting, should re-check the broadcasting availability during 14 days of the election campaign in order to provide justice and convenience to all political parties standing for the election. His Excellency continued that NEC had determined 02 broadcasting principles for stakeholders during the election campaign including: 

- The Principles for Radio and Television Stations on Selling or Renting Broadcasting Hour to Political Parties for Disseminating its Political Platforms and Programs;

-  The Principles for National and International Non-Governmental Organizations and media on talk-show program about political platforms.
